Building Services + Commissioning Engineer

Qualifications: BEng (Hons) Electrical Engineering, MIET

John joined Pacific in 2010 after over  20years experience in engineering and construction. He began his career as an apprentice and then electrician in the UK’s nuclear industry, which was followed by roles in electrical services design, M&E co-ordination and commissioning in both New Zealand and the UK. John has worked for both small regional and large international consultancy companies and also worked on several projects in New Zealand before he and his family temporarily relocated back to Manchester, UK.

John continued to work on a contract basis for Pacific by writing operation and maintenance manuals, CAD draughting and completing commissioning design reviews. John is currently leading our team as we help to undertake the Christchurch rebuild. Although his main strength lies in electrical engineering, John has shown his versatility in managing complex mechanical commissioning projects such as the Christchurch Civic Building as well as assisting with post-earthquake investigations and rectification works.  John is currently located in Christchurch and will head our team there as we help to undertake the Christchurch rebuild.
