Commissioning management on behalf of main contractors has been a service we have provided for many years. With the increasing complexity of buildings and the detailed interfaces between trades, Main contractors have looked to us to manage the complete commissioning process as part of their team.  We sat on the main contractors management team for several projects across all projects types  including,  1 Queen St, Manawa Bay outlets malls,  AIAL baggage hall, MS Lightspeed.


The Commissioning Management role includes:

  • Set up and lead commissioning meetings, recording and preparing minutes 

  • Manage delivery of  site specific subcontractor commissioning plans 

  • Develop commissioning programme 

  • Develop a commissioning tracking log to track commissioning progress 

  • Document systems start ups

  • Review all contractor commissioning reports and submit to consultant for review

  • Lead the development of the functional and scenario testing procedures for equipment and systems. 

  • Lead and document the scenario testing process

  • Lead and document functional tests to verify performance. Co-ordinate retesting if necessary until satisfactory performance is achieved. 

  • Maintain a register of major issues during functional testing as they may have bearing on the future operation of the building

  • Lead services QA and consultant quality inspections

  • Lead consultant/ client witnessing of commissioning

  • Compile a detailed commissioning report capturing the entire scope of the commissioning process

  • Lead training of owners facility staff 

  • Management of completion defects
