The Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Building 5 Project is a NZ$250 million expansion of the company’s East Tāmaki campus in Auckland, delivering approximately 28,000 m² of new facilities to support research and development, manufacturing, distribution, and collaborative office functions. Designed to accommodate future growth and strengthen New Zealand-based operations, the building will provide modern, flexible workspaces that bring together engineering, production, and corporate teams in a single integrated environment.
From a building services perspective, the project requires the delivery and integration of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire protection, and building management systems to support a combination of laboratory, manufacturing, warehouse, and office environments. Key services include high-performance HVAC systems for environmental control, power distribution infrastructure, specialist process services, lighting and controls, fire detection and suppression systems, communications networks, and energy-efficient building automation systems. These services are critical to maintaining operational reliability, supporting product development and manufacturing activities, and providing a safe, sustainable, and comfortable workplace for the growing Fisher & Paykel Healthcare workforce.
