An interest in technology led Corin to an engineering degree at the University of Auckland before starting his career with one of the region’s largest independent advisory and engineering consultancies. After seven years honing his skills as an electrical design engineer, Corin moved into the contracting space, allowing him to gain wider expertise within the construction sector.

He was attracted to Pacific by the opportunity to broaden his technical horizons, the diversity of projects offered, and the focus on mentoring and leadership support both from those above and the chance to upskill new members of the team.

A strong believer in relationship building, Corin is adept at facilitating communications between technical professionals and non-technical stakeholders. A focal point of Corin’s approach is to streamline the communication process so that technical aspects and subsequent actions are easy to understand by all parties.

Corin also cares deeply about sustainability principles in terms of construction methodologies, material selections and energy controls. Corin enjoys working on Green Star projects, with an interest in ensuring that recommendations are practical in their implementation.
