Russell graduated from the University of Waikato with a Bachelor of Honours in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating, Russell joined one of the leading consultancies in New Zealand where he worked on a diverse range of projects providing mechanical services design and construction monitoring.

Through his exposure of the commissioning process during construction monitoring, Russell became interested in transitioning from a consultancy role to gain a deeper understanding of building service systems. Russell leverages his technical background and strong drive to learn to add value to every project he undertakes.
